GCMI, a non-profit affiliate of the Georgia Institute of Technology, is actively recruiting for a research engineer to lead multiple new medtech product development projects.


The medical device design services and product development team at GCMI facilitates medical product development through all phases – from initial concept generation through transfer to production manufacturing. We guide and execute along a strategic pathway, focusing on both product excellence and regulatory compliance. Our team works with a variety of innovators: individual physicians, researchers and engineers, start-up companies and publicly traded industry leaders.


From the official position posting via the University System of Georgia, “The position requires extensive experience developing medical device technology within an established Quality Management System. Recognized as subject matter expert with additional experience and/or education in the field. Coordinate and monitor medical device/equipment projects from initiation through delivery. Serve as liaison between internal departments and external clients in order to ensure that all targets and requirements are met. Determine costs and schedules for medical device/equipment projects, and ensure all are completed on schedule and within budget.”
