Ethos Medical Awarded First Place at Georgia Tech’s 11th Annual InVenture Prize Competition

GCMI would like to extend our congratulations to Ethos Medical for winning first place in the final round of Georgia Tech’s 11th annual InVenture Prize competition. Ethos Medical (previously Neuraline) aims to improve patient outcomes for procedures like spinal taps and epidurals with their ultrasound-based needle guidance system that alerts the anesthesiologist when the needle is in the proper location for drug delivery.

One of the last presenters, Ethos Medical, ultimately took home the First Place designation for their ultrasound-based needle guidance system for procedures such as spinal taps and epidurals. The team landed $20,000, a free patent filing from Georgia Tech’s Office of Technology Licensing, and automatic acceptance into the next cohort of Create-X’s Startup Launch Program.

Last year, GCMI featured Ethos Medical on our website as they performed their first-ever preclinical session with a practicing anesthesiologist in our T3 Labs facility. “Is one young Georgia Tech company about to end complications from epidural misplacement?”

Ethos Medical will now move on to compete in the inaugural Georgia InVenture Prize (a project of the Georgia Chamber of Commerce) on April 4 and the ACC InVenture Prize Competition on April 17.
